Dear Pari Roller,

Next Friday we will visit Friday Night Fever with a group of 70 Dutch skaters from Tilburg.
And yes: we will bring our music buggy!

I am already preparing a small booklet for the skaters about the trip to Paris. Can you please send me a route map for next friday? (klaus@feestskate.nl) When is the new 'randonnee' available on the website?

Skategreetz, and till next week!
Klaus

The route is not decided until that very week (due in large part, I am given to understand, to Police constraints), and posted on the Pari Roller site on Thursdays afternoons if we're lucky, Friday mornings at the latest...

hey Klaus !

I really liked your music buggy, even if the kind of music wasn't exactly the one I prefer smile.gif

Anyway you're welcome anytime you want.
What a wonderfull evening!
Dear Pari-Roller!

It was a great FNF on the 4th of June! All our skaters had a good feeling about skating in Paris, some of them already wanted to book the trip for next year! And our apres skate party at the Indiana Lounge will not be forgotten.

The reactions on our music buggy were great, I saw some suprised faces along the route. I only wonderd why not more music buggies were built last year? Skating with music will give the FNF a major boost. Last year at Trocadere there was nice dance and lounge music.

Anyway... thanks very much for organising the FNF... keep up the good work. And if you would like to visit our nightskate... feel free to visit Tilburg. Our website: www.feestskate.nl

Glad y'all enjoyed the skate (I couldn't join myself, being out of Paris this week-end) !

With respect to the "music buggy", I'm a bit unsure what you really mean by that? Is that some kind of sound system on a trolley/cart?

There may be quite a few reasons why you don't see more of them:

- vehicles of any kind (except for skates, of course) are frowned upon in the rally, as being dangerous

- your choice of music may not suit everybody (but then again, people who don't like it may move to another part of the crowd)

- the special agreement by which the PowersThatBe (Préfecture de Police) have authorized these rallies has an explicit ban on any noise/music that may cause disturbance to the neighborhood
Klaus
Hi Hub,

That explains it all. Too bad that no music is allowed by the PowerThatBe. Maybe they don't want to explore the next dimension tongue.gif

Anyway... the respons of our skaters was wonderfull! Everybody really enjoyed the FNF. We had a after party in the Indiana Bar and at home on our arrival.

Since you missed our presence, feel free to view our photo-albmun of 4th of June:

The idea is to be back in august or september with a small group of skaters
