As I speak very poor French, to express myself better...I apologize that I have to use English here... ph34r.gif

I am just a beginner, very beginner...I v tried three time, and don't feel I made it better.

Until now, I still have no way get myself slow down, no need to say...the only way to have myself stopped was to "tomber", heavily on the ground.

Is there anyone who could be very kind telling me how I can slow down the speed (on flat ground and also a slope- this one is terrifying wink.gif )? I appreciat it very much, as I don't have any friend playing this roller in paris...

Thanks in advance!

Thank you for the advice! cool.gif

Yet, actually I've been there. As my skill is not good enough to go skating with the group in street, plus the organizer told me minimum skill of brake is required...I don't know if there's any group who could offer help...

Merci beaucoup! For the information! Exciiiiiiiiiiiiiting!

But do you mean "invalid" or "friday evening near montparnass tower"? Which one is which one?

That's a organization or the private gathering for skating fans? And do I need to register?

Thank you in advance for this! smile.gif

Invalides it's the famous place in Paris, there's a point next to the Air France Building where skaters use to gather and skate (slalom, jump, hockey,...)

About the Montparnasse Tower, it's the starting point for the Friday Night Fever every... friday (!) at 10pm. But à 8.30pm, Alain, a Pari-Roller member gives free initiation for beginners smile.gif (It's between the Montparnasse Tower and the main exit of Montparnasse Station)

Great! That's exactly what I need! Merci bien!!!

I will go and check out the Montparnasse Tower. I hope English speaking won't be a problem...

Could you please tell me if people often gather at Invalides at the weekend or some specific time?
Icy
You'll find more people at the weekend, but it's holidays for the students so you can find skaters even in the week smile.gif

You can try RSI (Roller Squad Institut association) roller group lessons.
You can take part in beginners' lesson (16€) without having to join the association.

I began roller with them, it's great.
Ask a french speaking friend to do the phone reservation. wink.gif
