Hi,
Look here : Roller shops
On the right of the page, you have the adresses and the websites of several good roller shops : Hawaï Surf, Nomades, Ilios, OOtini, Vertical Line...
Have fun in Paris ! wink.gif
Vertex
sorry but your link dos not work
Vianney
It works ! wink.gif
Click on the link and next, on the right of the screen, click on the name of a roller shop in the list under "articles liés".
If it really doesn't work, go on the homepage of Pari-Roller, click on "Les avantages adhérents". The list will be on the right.
I let you try !

You can also come at the yellow Pari Roller tent at montparnasse before the ride starts to get some informations (in french, english or even in russian), just ask them or ask for Mayken, fortin or any other nickname you remember wink.gif

Спасибо, Фортин! (Ты говоришь по-русски???)

Can you translate in english please? because I can't speak russian and it'll be more than good if all the english people can read what you wrote...

Спасибо, Фортин!

I could read that much (cyrillic is somewhat like greek alphabet): more or less "spasiba, Fortin", or "thanks, Fortin" (yes I know 2 or 3 words of Russian, spasiba being one of them, fortunately). tongue.gif
and:
CITATION
Ты говоришь по-русски
ends in "ruski", so I have to assume it's something like "you speak russian?"
Other than that, I have to agree with my tovaritch MacadamX: this is the "English forum", after all...
fortin
Yes it's the english forum, sorry smile.gif
Hub : good translation wink.gif
Mayken
Of course it's the English forum, but should I ask Vertex not to speak French so that other English-speaking people who come to this forum can understand?
Vertex makes an effort to write in French, so I made a little effort in return to say "hello" and "welcome" in Russian - and no more. (At least I hope that's what I said. wink.gif )
Some threads, such as "where is the meeting point?" and "where can I rent skate" are of general interest to non-French-speakers, some turn after a while into a discussion with the person who started the thread, arranging to meet on the day that person comes to the skate etc. In taht case, it doesn't matter as much if the discussion switches away from English.

See you all on Friday!

I hope you will have good weather for the skate!

In fact I can also speak French, but it is still a problem for me to understand spoken French wink.gif
Et mon francais est tres mal.
See you. I hope I'll have enough time to get "patines a roulette" after my plane.
(was it correct word for inline skates?) rolleyes.gif

In french, you can say "patins à roulettes" but it's an old expression... Now, people say "rollers" smile.gif

In Québec, the official (politically correct) expression is "patins à roues alignées" (the literal translation of in-line skates) but I know francophone people there say "Rollerblades" regardless of the brand name.

Go for "rollers", that's whate verybody says here!

Thanks for the ride. It was really interesting experience. Very unusual.
But i don't think i'd like to repeat it... rolleyes.gif

What was wrong? Which ride are you refering to? If it was this Friday (July 07), forget about it - it shouldn't have taken place at all. After less than an hour the rain started again and we turned round and went home. Sorry about that.
If it was this ride you were on, make sure to come back for a good-weather one!
