wasssup?
we're going to stay in Paris from 14 to 17 November, to have some fun on skates. we’re interested if you have any skate events at that time? and we’re looking for a cheap place to stay, can you recommend some? any other tips should be very useful (best places to skate and so on). you can contact as by email: noorpiilur@yahoo.com or post a message in this forum.
keep ‘em rolling
Hi !
As for events, there is our weekly Friday Night skate on Friday, Nov. 14 - we only cancel it if it rains or it the road surfaces are still wet after rain. Don't be fooled though: as they dry very quickly here in Paris, a road that is wet at 7pm can be dry again by the time we start skating at 10pm. That's why it is decided at 10pm and no sooner whether the skate takes place or not.
There is another skate like ours, but at a slower pace, on Sunday afternoon. It starts at 2:30pm on boulevard Bourdon (at the Bastille) and gets back there around 5:30pm.
Apart from that, there are lots of places to skate in Paris - actually all over town, sidewalks are of a pretty good quality, so why not just go on a sightseeing tour on skates if it doesn't rain ?
Come and meet us on Friday night - if you come early, around 9-9:15pm, we'll be there to chat with you and answer your questions. Just approach any of the Pari Roller "staff" members in their yellow sweat or T-shirts !
As for lodging, I will send you by e-mail some addresses you might consider.
Have fun !
