I just found out that there is a rollerskating tour round Paris every Friday night
and Sunday afternoon.
Is this true?
If so, which one is the best?
Should I go for the friday night or the Sunday afternoon?

HI yes it's true there are two rollerskating tours in Paris.

The first one begins at 10pm every friday evening, at the "Tour Montparnasse", near the Montparnasse train station. This ride is recommended to good skater with a quite good skating level. We're riding faster and longer than sunday's tour.
This tour is organised by Pari Roller.

The second tour begins at 2pm at "Place de la Bastille", near Gare de Lyon train station. This ride is a "family skating tour", easy and slow but also fun.

Which one is the best ? The tours are really different : on friday's you discover Paris by night, riding in the streets, you're riding longer and faster. You're doing sport !!!

If you are experienced in roller skating come on the friday tour !

It all depends on your skating level - and be aware that skating in a crowd is not like skating on your own. If you are not quite sure, rather do the Sunday tour, by the way it starts at 2:30pm but of course being there early is recommended. The precise starting point is on the boulevard Bourdon, which is a street leading down from the Place de la Bastille towards the river. Usually you can't miss it, there are lots of skaters waiting for the start. The skate is organised by Rollers & Coquillages, their website is www.rollers-coquillages.org. That skate will let you discover Paris by day, which is, I admit, somewhat less spectacular than Paris by night on a Friday.
